The perfect weekend getaway to Los Angeles

Staples Center is the hub for major sporting events and concerts. When you think of L.A., you think of Lakers.

The most popular So Cal theme park is Disneyland. It truly holds a special feeling among all visitors. Another them park to visit is Universal Studios Hollywood.

The zoo here is very large geographically. You can see all the exotic animals you want. The snake exhibit is really spectacular.

You can always find fun that's free. Venice Beach is a different adventure everytime you set foot there. It is world famous for a reason.

This is a mini amusement park set over the water. Take in the scenery on the ferris wheel or take an evening stroll with the sunset.

You can see this really well from Sunset Boulevard. People with some real determination can hike here using the Charlie Turner Trailhead. You can also stop by the Griffith Observatory at no cost.

Best Western Plus Hollywood hills is my favorite under $200 hotel. The lobby is filled with celebrity headshots and autographs. It is also located very close to the walk of fame.

There are many hotels located in the heart of downtown LA with similar views. Rooftop pools provide an amazing night swim. You can find great hotels at about $200/night.

This is a beautiful property located in Santa Monica. It sits right on the coast where you can take a true California Sunset. It is a little pricier ($600/night depending on season).
